In this world death and life will fight,
but one will win and control.
I have known how the dark is strong,
but light is the song
I now sing.
Love is not cheap but it is free,
and now I see that is how it should be:
hearts so true they’re see through
(and complete when we see you).
You will dissolve all of my fears.
You melt the chains, and you dry my tears.
My heart will be free.
Slavery won’t bind me.
With the cell door unlocked I walk
into the light day provides.
As I look at the bruise the chains
had left but in vain;
see, they fade.
Love is not cheap but it is free,
and now I see that is how it should be;
hearts so true they’re see through
(and complete when we see you).
You will dissolve all of my fears.
You melt the chains, and you dry my tears.
My heart will be free.
Slavery won’t bind me.
When the day comes and all that we have planned
is abandoned for what every living soul was made for and
I'll fix my eyes and I won’t look back.
My heart will be free.
Cut the chord and take me.
Oh what a day.
Flesh will decay but my soul will not pass away.
I will wait for my new frame.
All will be new,
then the shadow that tied me down will come undone.
I live for the One that
starts the fire, burns with heat: my beat.
It lives inside of this chest.
Hear the knock, roll the stone away.
My heart is your clay.
I am yours.
Love is not cheap but it is free,
and now I see that is how it should be:
hearts so true they’re see through
(and complete when we see you).
You will dissolve all of my fears.
You melt the chains, and you dry my tears.
My heart will be free.
Slavery won’t bind me.

Cliff Dive

I found the way:
this hope that will stay through
this life
to see
that my cries reach up to heaven.
There is a peace;
This comfort won’t cease as
it floods
my thoughts
in an endless stream to clean my
heart.
I have climbed this cliff so high
I now look to the brim.
And when I look down,
I still feel I can touch the ground.
What will matter?
I’ve tried so long
with effort to not do what’s wrong.
I've failed
every single time I lean on
my own will power.
I don’t have what it takes to live without
such a perfect love, this perfect route.
I have climbed this cliff so high
I now look to the brim.
And when I look down,
I still feel I can touch the ground.
What will matter?
“Do not conform any longer to the patterns of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is- His good, pleasing, and perfect will.” (Romans 12:2)
Worry stole this peace and carried it away.
Christ did all the work returning peace that stays.
Worry stole this peace and carried it away.
Christ did all the work returning peace that stays.
Worry stole this peace and carried it away.
Christ did all the work returning peace that stays.
Peace that stays.
Peace that stays.
I have climbed this cliff so high
I now look to the brim.
And when I look down,
I still feel I can touch the ground.
What will matter?
I collapse from heights unknown
from mysteries to all.
And when I let go
the casket of all peace You throw
to catch my fall.

The Calling
03:41
|

Death can’t take you
when death’s a lie.
Coffins can’t restrain…
Death can’t take you
when death’s a lie.
Coffins
can’t restrain truth’s life.
Darkness
will try but weep.
Between cracks the light will seep. Seep.
It breaks my heart to see
all the pain and misery
that is taken on alone.
I can feel you,
you’re true to me.
Spirit fill this whole body.
I trust what is not seen.
The proof is within our genes. Genes.
It breaks my heart to see
all the pain and misery
that is taken on alone.
We’re all called to live
to love each other and forgive.
There’s no need to wait.
The bridge is drawn,
the path is straight.
We’re all called to live
to love each other and forgive.
There’s no need to wait.
The bridge is drawn,
the path is straight.
Calling with such patience,
He takes the guilt and shame.
It’s not rules we follow.
We chase the greater name.

Hunger pains,
souls that strain
to know,
to reach out and to grow
with open palms,
blistered and searching for life.
I must let you go for now.
In the golden streets you are free to roam.
I will see you there.
It won’t be long
till I’ll be home.
Breathing pains,
lungs that wane
and go.
When every breath grows slow
the kingdom comes.
Death our disease; Truth our Cure.
Oh, the memories I keep.
I hide them in my heart.
Yes, I’ve known from the start
that one day we would part.
We sow and then we reap,
we work and then we sleep.
I must let you go for now.
In the golden streets you are free to roam.
I will see you there.
It won’t be long
Till I’ll be home.
I must let you go for now.
In the golden streets you are free to roam.
I will see you there.
It won’t be long
Till I’ll be home.
Till I’ll be home.
